Pestana Cidadela Cascais - Pousada & Art District Hotel

The beautifully renovated fort with art as the central theme creates a unique experience. Great staff, lovely on-site restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, and stunning views over the harbor. As vegetarians and vegans, we enjoyed the variety of vegetarian options available.

Felt quite safe, no complaints whatsoever.

Set in a historic area with marina and restaurant access. Stunning architecture blends ancient and modern. Rooftop pool and garden offer calm oasis. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings easily explored by foot or bike.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic experience. The location couldn't be better - right on the seafront and just a short walk to the city center. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and the fact that the hotel is situated in high-quality facilities by the sea added to the overall charm.

Nothing it is perfect.

We were thrilled with our stay at the lovely hotel in a beautiful town. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the bustling center but tucked away in a peaceful spot on the harbor. Our room had a wonderful view of the courtyard, providing us with the tranquility we desired. The hotel itself was magnificent, adorned with art both inside and out, and the gardens were simply stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering advice on local attractions and providing us with vouchers for free entry to museums. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. We especially enjoyed indulging in the Portuguese sparkling wine. There were also many restaurants in the harbor right outside the hotel, making it convenient for dining. I highly recommend this hotel for a truly enjoyable stay in Cascais.

The hotel's central location is perfect for exploring. We enjoyed dinner at a restaurant in the square and could easily walk back to the hotel afterwards. In the morning, we loved watching the waves break on the beach while having breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service from the staff was exceptional. The breakfast had a good variety of options and the wait staff were attentive. it was a great experience.

One negative aspect was that the pool outside didn't make the most of the great view over the harbor.

The view from the room was breathtaking, overlooking the marina and providing a stunning backdrop to wake up to. the breakfast spread was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. the location couldn't have been better, just a short walk away from the beach and surrounded by beautiful restaurants to explore.

The shower in our room leaked, causing the bathroom floor to get wet.

Absolutely nothing.

This hotel was incredibly luxurious, with exclusive amenities and a stunning location. the indoor swimming pool and sauna were fantastic, and the spa centre offered a range of massages and treatments. the sun terrace had comfortable sun loungers, and the garden area was beautifully kept. the restaurant and bar/lounge area had a great range of options. In-room breakfast was available and was a lovely touch. the service was impeccable, with very helpful staff always ready to assist.

The only minor issue was that the outdoor swimming pool was quite small and cramped, with lots of unused space around it. this was not a major concern given the other fantastic facilities on offer.
